by Andrea

When it comes to high cheekbones vs low cheekbones there are some people that insist that people with high cheekbones are more attractive. Most people realize that beauty is subjective and what one person sees as beautiful another person may not, but when it comes to high or low cheekbones does it really make a difference?

Although there are no exact measurements when it comes to low and high cheekbones there are some generally differences. High cheek bones are ones that come right under the eye or can be seen towards the upper part of the nose. On the other hand, low cheekbones are located towards the bottom part of the nose or even below the nose.

So, when it comes to high cheekbones vs low cheekbones, do you believe that people with high cheekbones are more attractive? Are you the type of woman who tries to make her cheekbones appear higher?

Personally, I know both men and women who have low cheekbones and are gorgeous. I also know men and women with high cheekbones that are gorgeous as well. In my opinion, there is much more to a beautiful face than cheekbones. In fact I think it has more to do with having prominent cheekbones rather than having high or low cheekbones.

How to Get More Prominent Cheekbones

Rather than worrying about the whole high cheekbones vs low cheekbones, follow these tips to get highlight your cheekbones and contour your face to make it appear that you have beautiful prominent cheekbones.

To contour your cheek area, you need to use a darker color than your natural skin color to create a shadow and depth on your face. Take a bronzing powder and apply a line of it underneath your cheekbone as you follow the natural contour of the cheek.

Blend the bronzing powder into your skin by brushing it downwards with a contouring brush. This creates a natural shadow underneath your cheekbones.

To make your cheekbones stand out even more, take a lighter color or a product like Benefit High Beam and run it across your cheekbones. The lighter area will highlight the cheekbones and help to make them stand out even more.

With these makeup tips you can easily highlight your cheekbones and make them more prominent and forget all that high cheekbones vs low cheekbones nonsense when it comes to being beautiful.
