Why a Cashmere Cardigan?
When it comes a cardigan, cashmere is my top choice over a regular knit or cotton because not only is cashmere much nicer to wear but it also last longer as well. I have had a few cashmere sweaters that are now over 5 years old and still look perfectly new. I don’t wear them every day but they have been worn several times each year.
Even though a black cashmere cardigan is going to be more expensive than a cotton one, it is definitely worth the extra money to get a high quality sweater that can be worn as a staple in your wardrobe.
I have paired my black cardigan cashmere sweater with a nice pair of trouser jeans as well as my red skinny jeans. I have also worn it dressed up a little more with a grey wool skirt and over a cute cotton sleeveless dress. If you find that classic cardigan you can really pair it with just about anything.
Another reason why I like cashmere cardigans is because they are not as heavy and bulky as other knits. That means your cardigan can easily be worn in the spring as well as in the fall for a layering effect. Unlike some other chunkier knit cardigans a cashmere one isn’t just limited to the winter time.
If you want to build up your wardrobe and get your basic go-to clothing items, I really recommend that you add in a black cashmere cardigan sweater. You may just be surprised at how much use you really get out of the piece of clothing.
