If you weren’t blessed with long eyelashes, then you may want to consider adding lengthening mascara to your makeup bag.
There are lots of mascaras that claim to be able to lengthen your eyelashes but some of these products clump on your eyelashes or don’t really make your eyelashes that much longer. Some even give you the appearance of caked on fake eyelashes that are just not appealing at all. I have used several different lash lengthening mascaras and thought I would give you my recommendation for the best lengthening mascara (I have more than one!)
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes 4-in-1 Natural Mascara 
This is my go-to mascara as it not only lengthens but also helps to thicken and volumize your eyelashes as well. It is not clumpy at all and actually keeps my eyelashes smooth and silky rather than hard and crunchy like some other mascaras.
If I want a simple day look for my face, I only use one application of this lengthening mascara and there is a noticeable difference. For more of a day look, you can add another layer on top and your eyelashes will be super long and thick, but still natural looking.
I love the fact that Tarte Lights Camera Lashes is a natural mascara because there are some mascaras I have used that have made my eyes red and irritated and the less chemicals I can put by my eyes, the better.
This mascara cost $19 and is completely worth it. In fact, I would probably pay double that amount for this product.

Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara 
This is another lengthening mascara that I have had good results from. This product has a unique brush that helps glide on the mascara to lengthen the eyelashes but not clump. It works to separate the lashes which helps add a dramatic effect to your eye and keeps your eyelashes looking natural rather than having caked on mascara.
This mascara does a good job at lengthening your lashes but it takes at least 2-3 applications to get real volume from the mascara. If you need volume and length for your eyelashes you are better off going with the Lights Camera Lashes from Tarte.

Maybelline One by One Mascara 
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative that still works to lengthen your eyelashes, then check out this mascara (click here to buy). It can be bought for under $7 and does work pretty well to lengthen your lashes without clumping.
Another thing that I like about this mascara is that you can get it in a waterproof version, which I like to wear when it comes to summer since it gets so hot.
One thing about this mascara is that if you do apply more than 2-3 layers, it does end up starting to clump up a bit, but you have to remember that you get what you pay for. With a cheaper priced mascara you are not going to get the same quality as a more expensive one.
I do still recommend this lash lengthening mascara for women who don’t have a lot of money to spend or want a spare mascara in case of an beauty emergency.
